I wonder if Lena is taking her own advice and not only being open to dialogue but thinking about her long history of racist actions and work.
It is also important to point out that the things being said to Lindy West (warning link to Jeze-hell) are disgusting but having Lena Dunham come out and support her, when she is uncritical about the harm her own actions cause is seeped in white feminism and white privilege. There hasn’t been a point where she has actually spoken out about her own actions, so saying other people need to be critical is BS. Trudy the writer at Gradient Lair said it best,
