My Heart is Warmed
Just when I think the world sucks and people are horrible, I see something beautiful. I was standing in the Mall, waiting for people to get out of the way so I could open my umbrella and head towards the bus, just idly staring into space, when I noticed a young man sit down next to the elderly homeless woman who sits in the same spot every day, take two $50 notes out of his wallet and discreetly hand them to her. She took them hesitantly, not sure if he was genuine. He then smiled at her gently, and got up and walked away. My heart is very warmed.
