Just finished reading: The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood
Verdict: Really should not have read this just after finishing the book about Quiverfull.
Current position: Fetal, sobbing.
I read it 20-something years ago. I still can’t believe that twenty-odd years into the future, it feels less like a dystopian imagining and more like a Republican/Liberal Party manifesto. I can’t believe that women have fewer rights now than they did in my late teens and early 20’s.
How the fuck is this happening people??

I’m so glad I read this book last semester. It is so relevant to life and that’s kind of terrifying.

I love this book but it always makes me sad. Especially the ‘HER FAULT,’ part.
