Cathedral Square - Christchurch on Flickr. It is so hard to describe such devastation of a city. Not to mention how lucky some people were to be alive. There was a woman in that side wing of the church that has the gaping hole in it. She had been standing right where that hole is mere moments before the quake, and moved to the window just as it happened.
The saddest thing is that so many of these beautiful buildings still have question marks over them as to whether they can be saved. Christchurch has lost so much of it’s heritage.
