I use bleach and lots of it!  In all the years I’ve been bleaching my hair, it has never done any of the things you’re warned that bleach does to your hair.  It hasn’t fallen out, it hasn’t made it break, it hasn’t made it coarse.  I have REALLY thick hair - but the actual hairs themselves are super fine, I just have lots of them.  Lucky I guess!
