That treatment you describe is terrible. None of it was remotely appropriate, and I'm sorry it happens to you frequently. I wouldn't treat anyone ghat way, and I'm trying to raise my two boys to act decently as well. I haven't browsed to see any pictures of you, if there are Amy. But it sounds like you are a wonderful looking, confident woman. I wish there was a line in those incidents that said that you put each person in their place. But I know how hard that can be.
Thank you for your kind thoughts and for reaching out to me.
I need to make clear though, what I look like has no bearing at all on the harassment. A person can be as ugly as a bucket of smashed crabs and the fattest, weirdest looking person in the world - they’re still a human being and deserve to live their lives in dignity and peace, without being harassed by strangers for any reason.
Personally, I don’t care if someone thinks I’m attractive or not. What I care about is that they treat me with basic human respect, and don’t measure my worth by my appearance.
We are not placed here on this earth to be decorations for others to gaze upon, but to fill our lives to the fullest we possibly can. After all, we only get one shot at it.
