“Health” is an arbitrary measure that is personal and private.

There is no moral obligation to be “healthy”.

Fat bodies are not public property to be managed/controlled.

Even “unhealthy” people deserve to live their lives in peace and dignity.

I can agree to this to a degree but not fully. I do not like the term healthy. The only healthy I can agree with is living a lifestyle consisting of sufficient exercise, natural and biologically sound food choices, and a reasonable sleep cycle. I respect those who choose to take care of themselves to an optimum level. I am not one of those people, and often abuse my body as much as possible. On the third point I do agree people should be left alone in all their devices to an extent. But there is a point where we go from alright to dangerous. There are people out and about who do need a bit of help getting back within a safe weight and I don’t think that should be an issue. Live your life within a reasonably safe limit. Living a very unhealthy lifestyle myself I would love to be left alone. Having some fool explain to me the down side of drinking heavily, and how smoking pounds of pot in a month will kill you faster makes my blood boil. Leave me the fuck alone.

So, dude, you want people to leave YOU alone for what you self-describe as your own unhealthy lifestyle, and yet you still think other people who, in your (non-expert, non-informed) opinion, are “unhealthy” should be “helped”? Can you really, truly not see what the issue is here?

Yes, he did. Apparently he’s advocating one set of rules for himself but a whole different set for those disgusting fatties who can’t control themselves. Even if fat WAS caused by addiction (which is complete bullshit), why is his addiction to drugs and alcohol exempt but oh no, we must intervene for the fatties who are addicted to food.

Nothing makes me think less of a person more than a blatant double standard, where they demand their own “rights” (usually to be a prick) but deny other people theirs.
